The Google Analytics team member Jeff Gillis announced the new future today. And this future added to Google Analytics to make it as powerful, flexible, and useful as a web analytics tool can be.

What is Advanced Segmentation?

Enables you to isolate and analyze subsets of your traffic. It is true on-the-fly segmentation of visits so that you can create powerful filters with a few mouse-clicks. Select from predefined custom segments such as “Paid Traffic” and “Visits with Conversions” or create new custom segments with a flexible, easy-to-use segment builder. Then, you can apply one or more of these segments to current or historical data, and even compare segment performance side by side in reports.

Advance segmentation is easy to use. each and every filed manage by google drag and drop dimensions. The concept here is that you choose a dimension or metric that you want to segment by, specify a value for that dimension or metric, and then create a relationship between the two. There is no need to reprocess historical data in Google Analytics., here’s a quick video tour of advanced segments.

All Advanced Segments can be accessed via the Advanced Segment button in the top right corner of the screen. Click the button and you’ll see a nice big drop down with all your defined segments.

You can see two options with advance Segment: default segments and custom segments.Here you have to given choice, what you want display in google analytics this means that you can display multiple segments at the same time. Notice that data over time chart will update to include all of the segments that you chose.

You can see multiple segments of traffic on one graph. Really this is tremendous visualizing how multiple campaigns, mediums or geographic segments perform over time.
One advance benefit is ,if you have create one advanced segment to specific user name, you can use to all account with advanced segment and profiles that you have access to.
